Pubs & restaurants with playgrounds in Sydney

The Kids Corner at the Overlander is a room of its own with a multi-level play structure and a baby change room, open every day. There's a Kids Corner menu with a main, an ice-cream and a small soft drink, free face painting on Sundays from 1pm to 3pm, and free activities in the NSW school holidays, from magic shows to a petting zoo. The bistro serves all day on weekends, and there's plenty of off-street parking.

Greystanes splits its play space by age. Little ones have an indoor soft playground a few metres from the tables, while older kids get an enclosed outdoor area beside the Family Courtyard with a flying fox, a climbing frame and a spinning supernova. There's a parents room, high chairs and a Little People menu for under-12s at $13, and the bistro opens at 11am every day.

The Marsden Brewhouse is a brewery pub with a playground, and it runs kids' activities on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm. The playground stays open until 10pm; an adult has to be with children, and food and drinks stay out of it. Kids' meals are $14 with a juice popper, there are more than 170 car spaces, and walk-ins are welcome, though booking is encouraged.

Hotel Seven Hills has an enclosed indoor playground right next to the bistro, so you can eat while the kids play, and an undercover splash pad outside, out of the sun. There's a kid-friendly menu and high chairs, mothers' groups are welcome, and the bistro serves all day on weekends.

The Marayong Hotel has an indoor kids' play area close to the dining room, with high chairs and a child-friendly menu with healthier options. Parents keep watch in the playground, and the hotel runs kids' entertainment such as discos.

Smithfield RSL has two kids' rooms: Krazy Kids Playland, with an iPad bar loaded with games, and Arcade Alley, with arcade games for kids of all ages and staff on hand.

Seven Hills-Toongabbie RSL has a new indoor play centre designed for ages 3 to 12. A parent stays with the kids, no shoes are allowed inside, adults included, and the club's Fitzroy Lane bistro and Ironbark Cafe are close by.

Club Blacktown has an indoor playground with arcade machines, a shaded outdoor playground with a couple of cubby houses, and Monkey Mania, an indoor play centre for ages 1 to 12 that hosts birthday parties.

Vikings Sports Club at Dundas Valley has Little Vikings, a kids' area with an indoor playground, arcade games, air hockey and Nickelodeon on the TV.

DOOLEYS Lidcombe opened an indoor kids' play space in 2025 with two slides and activity panels for toddlers up to older kids, open from 10am on weekdays and 9am on weekends. It isn't staff-supervised, and the club does birthday parties.

A short walk from Pennant Hills station, the hotel has an indoor soft playground, a parents room and high chairs. Kids' meals are mostly $13, with the chips swappable for salad, veg or mash, and a Frog in a Pond is $5 for afters. The menu asks parents to keep watch in the playground, and a party room takes 30 to 50 guests.

The Ettamogah's kids area rises several storeys: a permanent jungle gym, arcade games and an 8-metre rock climbing wall. The courtyard tables sit under shade pergolas looking over it, heated in winter and cooled in summer, and the Crooked House cafe does breakfast from 8am on weekends. School holidays bring family fun days, reptile shows and craft workshops.

Castle Hill RSL's courtyard playground sits by the Courtyard Kitchen and Cafe and is open from 10am every day until 10pm, or midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Age and height limits apply, and parents supervise.

The Australian Hotel & Brewery at Rouse Hill has Hops Playland, a play space for climbing, sliding and exploring, and tables right inside it can be booked through the events team.

The Vineyard hotel has the Vineyard Farmhouse playground outdoors for climbing and sliding, fitted with misters and plenty of shade, next to Tommy's Cafe and The Lawn.

At the Chipping Norton Hotel the kids' play structure is indoors and climate-controlled, with booth seating all around it, so you can eat while they climb. The bistro serves all day from Friday to Sunday, and the hotel's DJ's Arcade has claw machines, racing simulators and air hockey for older kids. Tables can be booked online.

Liverpool Catholic Club's playground is indoors over two levels, with climbing structures, nets, ropes, slides and a toddler area, all fenced and air-conditioned. It sits in the Laneway dining precinct among the club's eateries and opens from 8am every day, until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. A parent has to supervise, and the club also has an ice skating rink and Laneway Party & Play packages.

Tabatinga at Ingleburn RSL is a rainforest-themed indoor play centre, air-conditioned and secure behind a locked gate, with a big toddler area for under-threes and a multi-level soft-play structure for four and up. Entry is paid, its own cafe serves family favourites, and there are three themed party rooms.

Major Fun at Mounties in Mount Pritchard is a gated, air-conditioned indoor play centre with soft play, slides and sensory areas by age, plus bumper cars, a ninja course and a sports arena. Entry is paid by the child's age, with booked sessions on weekends and staff-supervised Drop & Dine sessions for toilet-trained over-threes.

Panania Diggers has two children's playgrounds on The Green, beside the alfresco dining, and a real train carriage on the grounds. There's a parents room on site.

The Willowdale Hotel at Denham Court has Little Willows, a big play area with a play-gym and a TV, and what it calls a massive kids' menu.

North Ryde RSL's Tribal Zone is an adventure playground with climbing structures, slides and a ball room, plus arcade games, for children under 150 cm. Entry is free, so is the parking outside, and an adult has to stay with the kids. Riverviews Bar & Dining serves lunch and dinner every day, with $18 lunch specials.

The Forest Hotel's playground is outdoors and big, with an indoor games room beside it, and the alfresco tables on The Terrace look straight over both. There's indoor dining as well, tables can be booked online, and the function spaces take birthdays of 20 to 200.

The Ranch Hotel at Marsfield has a permanent jungle gym and arcade games inside and a large outdoor play area you can keep an eye on from the tables. It runs kids' activities like face painting and petting zoos, and kids' parties.

Major Fun at Harbord Diggers in Freshwater is a gated indoor play centre with zones by age, from one-year-olds up, and interactive floors, slides and walls. Entry is paid by age, there are staff-supervised Drop & Dine sessions and two party rooms, and parking is undercover.

The Mona Vale Hotel has an outdoor playground for sliding and swinging under shade sails and an indoor kids' corner with five Nintendo Switches, a chalkboard wall and toys. There's a kids' menu, and Ben's Bakery Cafe on site.

Pittwater RSL in Mona Vale has an indoor playground with a slide in view of Potter's Cafe, open from 10am every day. Children need to be off the premises by 9pm, and the club also has pickleball courts.

Forestville RSL's Kids Nook has a jungle-gym playground for ages 2 to 6, with an arcade room for older kids.

Tradies Caringbah's Play Space is an indoor, supervised room beside the Nor East Cafe & Bistro on Level 2, where kids can run, climb and make things. Sessions cost $5 a child and run from Wednesday to Sunday at set times, so book ahead; there are extra sessions in the school holidays. The Play Space also hosts enclosed, supervised parties for ages 3 to 12.

Bangor Tavern has a playground for kids and takes table reservations online, with groups of more than 20 booking by email. It opens from 10am Monday to Saturday and 11am on Sunday. Its website says little else about the playground, so ring ahead if you need to know more.

Club Rivers at Riverwood has the Thunderdome, a kids' space with modern play equipment, climbing frames and interactive games, where parents can relax nearby. There's a kids' menu, and the club suggests it for birthdays and playdates.

Sylvania Bowling Club has an outdoor playground and an indoor kids' playroom, with tables on The Lawn close by and meals from The Tree House Bistro. It opens at 2pm on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 11:30am the rest of the week.

The Bowlo's Kids' Corner is a fenced outdoor play area close to the bistro, with barefoot bowls on the green for the grown-ups. The bistro opens from Wednesday to Sunday, from lunch on weekends. Kids' parties can be booked, though the club asks you to wait for its confirmation before arranging entertainment.

Canada Bay Club's playground sits beside the alfresco tables at Granata's brasserie and is meant for ages 3 to 10: socks on, no shoes, and an adult with them. It's open from 12pm to 2:30pm and 5:30pm to 9pm, the brasserie's hours, and a small arcade by the counter suits older kids. Kids' meals include penne, nuggets, a cheeseburger and fish and chips.

Club Ashfield's children's area on Level 1 has a play gym and a PlayStation and Xbox station, open whenever the Family Bistro is serving. The Charlotte and Sunshine rooms can be booked with the kids' area for a party.
