Bruce Comben Reserve's southern open space on Henry Drive, Altona Meadows, was redeveloped by Hobsons Bay Council with an adventure playground. It has a large climbing frame, an accessible in-ground trampoline and carousel, a dual flying fox, a shaded sandpit, swings and a trickle stream fed by a hand pump, plus a nature play trail and multipurpose court, with no fee to use any of it. Public toilets include an accessible change facility opened with an MLAK key, and there is an upgraded car park.
