Misted water play offers a gentle cool-down at the Cheltenham Recreation Reserve playground, which Bayside City Council rebuilt around a custom treehouse. A climbing tower with a slide, a spinner bowl, spring rockers, nature play areas and swings for different ages surround a restored steamroller. The old Cheltenham Station building now serves as a shaded picnic shelter, and public toilets are next to the playground.
