GL Basterfield Park off Dane Road, Hampton East, is a Bayside Council reserve with two separate playgrounds, a small lake and a sheltered picnic area with barbecues. The southern playground was rebuilt in 2022 with a shaded climbing unit, two slides, monkey bars and motor-skill boards. Council does not list a water play feature or any seasonal operating times, and the park costs nothing to use. Public toilets with baby change are roughly 170 metres north near Dane Road, next to the car park.
