North Coogee, WA
Ngarkal Beach, named after the Noongar word for gull, is a sheltered swimming beach inside the Port Coogee waterways with a children's water playground beside the beach. The City of Cockburn provides toilets and adult change rooms here and lends floating and sand beach wheelchairs free of charge. The marina boardwalk cafes and the Nyungar Tourist Trail are a short walk away, so the splash pad and a calm swim fit easily into one outing.
