Every playground we know of across Perth's Northern Suburbs: 390 in 71 suburbs and towns, including Dianella, Scarborough, Duncraig, Landsdale, Clarkson, Balga, Butler, Kingsley, Nollamara, Yokine, Wanneroo and Banksia Grove. 152 have a public toilet within about 400 metres. On the Scarborough foreshore, the Whale Playground is built around a whale skeleton. It shares Wadjak Nyoongar Dreaming stories, and has new shade sails.
From October to April, the City of Wanneroo runs push-button water play from 8am to 7pm. The Kingsway Aquatic Play Space at Madeley sits next to a dinosaur-themed nature playground. At Eglinton, Revolution Park has a water tunnel, spouts and jets, and opens after the day's water test.
By Lake Joondalup, Neil Hawkins Park has natural play with logs, sticks and grassy hills, plus free electric barbecues. The City of Stirling lists Carine Regional Open Space and Millett Park at Innaloo among its destination playgrounds.
