Things to do with kids in Brisbane

South Bank is the easiest family day in Brisbane. You can swim at Streets Beach, then cool off in the free museum and galleries, all within a few minutes' walk. Brisbane is warm most of the year, and almost every suburb has a free lagoon, a water park or a pool with a splash area.
Brisbane is koala country. Lone Pine has more than 100 of them, and the Daisy Hill Koala Centre in Logan is free. Wild koalas live in the bushland at Toohey Forest and Burbank, so look up into the trees.
For views, drive up to the Mt Coot-tha lookout. The bay is close by: Redcliffe has a free lagoon on the water, and the ferry from Cleveland takes you to Cylinder Beach on North Stradbroke Island. Pick your area below to see what is close to home.
544 family outings, waterfalls and walks across the region, sorted by drive time from Brisbane. Choose your suburb at the top to sort from where you are staying.
