In Port Augusta, Gladstone Square has a fenced, shaded junior playground and electric barbecues. Stirling North's Robert 'Bert' McKenzie Park pairs its junior playground with a half basketball court and bike trails. Most of the Coober Pedy Playground is under cover, while its zip line and skate park sit outside. Jamestown's Memorial Park has a playground, a rotunda and electric barbecues beside a World War I cannon memorial. In Crystal Brook, the Adelaide Square playground has barbecues and toilets.
On Port Augusta's East Side Foreshore, a junior playground sits near a fishing jetty, pontoons and public toilets. Peterborough's Victoria Park has shaded play equipment, barbecues and a picnic shelter. The Flinders Ranges Council suggests Quorn's Thompson Memorial Playground for a picnic. Hawker's Blue Burt Park is opposite the Hawker Hotel.
Wilmington's RSL Children's Playground has slides and swings, with shade cloth over most of it. Port Germein's foreshore playground went in during 2024, styled on the town's maritime history. It also has shaded equipment, fitness equipment and toilets.
