Mornington Park, near Mothers Beach, has a large wooden pirate ship, swings and a flying fox. Langwarrin's Lloyd Park pairs its playground with a skate park, barbecues and a rotunda. The play space at Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve has a giant basket swing, trampolines and nature water play. In Mount Martha, the Balcombe Estuary playground sits beside 3.5 kilometres of tracks and boardwalk along Balcombe Creek.
Down the bay, the Rosebud Foreshore Playground is next to the beach, with rope climbing, a tunnel and a flying fox. At McCrae, the Little Lighthouse playground has a mini lighthouse on its climbing frame, beside the real McCrae Lighthouse.
On the Rye foreshore, the Rye's Up community playground was built by more than 700 volunteers in 2012. It is a fully fenced wooden adventure playground with a seaside theme.
