Several of the best playgrounds sit right by the sand. The Michaela Howie Playground is enclosed and looks over Dee Why Beach. At Manly, the Jean Hay AM Playground on North Steyne has a Liberty Swing and an accessible carousel.
Bert Payne Park beside Newport Beach is fully fenced, with a ground-level trampoline and a wheelchair-accessible carousel. In Avalon, Dunbar Park has two climbing towers and a nature trail.
Inland, the Lionel Watts Playspace in Frenchs Forest is inclusive, with flying foxes and water play. Winnererremy Bay in Mona Vale has a playground in a foreshore park with a cafe.
