In Alfredton, Djila-tjarriu Reserve has four hectares of parkland with a playground, barbecues and skate and scooter tracks. Wendouree's Weeramar Park has a fenced playground for children of all ages, with toilets and barbecues. In Sebastopol, Victory Park has a water play park that opens in November, with a quieter zone for smaller children. In Delacombe, Leawarra Crescent Reserve has a climbing gym as well as a playground.
On Lake Wendouree's foreshore, the largest play space is the Ballarat Community Adventure Playground, with a Liberty Swing that opens with an MLAK key. Close by, an Indigenous-themed play space is designed for younger children. The Victoria Park Inclusive Play Space has a double flying fox, a carousel and year-round water play. Inside are an accessible toilet, an adult change facility and a sensory space.
In Canadian, Lake Esmond has an adventure playground, with barbecues and toilets by its walking track. Buninyong's De Soza Park runs along Union Jack Creek, with a playground, a barbecue, toilets and walking tracks.
