In Maryborough, Coronation Park has a fire engine climber. Victory Park sits in central Castlemaine, with a rotunda and toilets. At Strathfieldsaye Recreation Reserve, a basket swing and balance beams sit around a dry creek bed with a water pump.
Bendigo's fully fenced Lake Weeroona Playspace has a large timber fort and water play. The Bendigo Botanic Gardens playspace in White Hills is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, with hedged garden rooms. The free Long Gully Splash Park has gold rush-themed water play from late September to late March.
Eaglehawk Playspace is shaped like a giant eagle hawk, on the shore of Lake Neangar. The fenced Heathcote Play Space has a grape-growing theme, with a barrel-shaped play unit and a cable ride. In Guildford, the Big Tree Park playground sits across the road from a River Red Gum thought to be 500 to 1,000 years old.
