Every playground we know of across Sunshine Coast: 284 in 89 suburbs and towns, including Buderim, Maroochydore, Nambour, Mountain Creek, Sippy Downs, Gympie, Tewantin, Little Mountain, Bli Bli, Peregian Springs, Coolum Beach and Noosaville. 166 have a public toilet within about 400 metres. Several of the coast's big playgrounds sit right by the water. Pirate Ship Park on Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, has a shade-sailed pirate ship opposite the marina. In Maroochydore, Cotton Tree Park has two separate playgrounds on the Maroochy River, with natural shade and picnic spots.
At Kings Beach, Kings Beach Park adds water play beside the sand, on the Coastal Pathway. Bokarina Boulevard Park has a large adventure playground and a small learn-to-ride bike path.
Inland at Cooroy, the Hinterland Adventure Playground is built for all abilities. It has water play, an inclusive flying fox and swings, a sensory garden and a Changing Places room.
